So Far So Good

As of now i am about a week into my internship here in the Greek Life Office. So far i really seem to be enjoying it. This past Monday was the first of two new member meetings, and i along with another intern came up with a great ice breaker. The object of the ice breaker was to get a hula hoop from one end of the line to the other and back without breaking from holding the persons hand next to them. I understand it sounds a little childish for young college students but it was fun and they all seemed to really have a good time with it. I was extremely happy Angie gave me the opportunity to start off the program by introducing myself and the two advisors who were presenting. By running this program it gave me a little insight on public speaking as well as improving on my communiation skills. Other than that i also got to meet a few new faces who will hopefully oneday make it into the 3% of students who comprise the Greek community here at SUNY Oneonta. On the whole i would say things are going well and im having a blasts .

My Fist Blog as a Greek Intern

Hey everyone, today is the second day into my internship and thankfully everything is running smoothly. The best part about this job is getting the hands on experience i need to help me out in what students today call the "Real World". I have been working on a pamphlet for parents who don't really know what us Greeks are about. Hopefully this will help parents accept Greeks for who we really are, and not the common negative stereotypes of the downtown groups. The best part about interning in the Greek Life office is being able to interact not only with the brothers in my fraternity, but also the other greeks that come in and out each day. It is a real calm and fun environment where i can not only get my work done but also meet all kinds of people. Until next time stay classy Oneonta.
